What a fun week!

I had such a fun week. Thursday Mike and I went out and played some pool. He of course killed me, although I did win one game. Friday I stayed in and watched a movie with Dexter. Saturday, I had a girls night out. First we watched U of L win and then we had some margaritas. Sunday, we woke up around 8 and grabbed some breakfast. I made plans with Mike and Caleb to watch some NFL today. Mike is a big Chiefs fan and they were playing against the Broncos. We went down to the Mishawaka Amphitheatre,out in the Canyon, to watch the games. I love this place. It is so neat and it sits right on the river. After the games we met up with some more people and went bowling. I scored the highest, 170, which means that I got to sign the bowling pin. There is a bowling pin that whoever scores the highest out of 3 games gets to sign it. Tomorrow I was supposed to go snowshoeing with Mike, but the area that we wanted to go to is on a high avalanche warning. Hopefully tomorrow starts out another great week. I know that there is a winter storm coming my way on Tuesday and Wednesday, so that should be a lot of fun. I hope we will get hit hard!

Nice and Sunny

My family came in town and visit for several days. They must have brought the weather because it has been in the sixties and very sunny. We are all from Kentucky and I heard that it has been so cold there. I thought for sure I would be the one having a very cold Thanksgiving. Saturday was our last warm day. We went up to the Canyon with the dogs and we all went fly fishing there. My brother was the only one that caught anything. Sunday the weather dropped pretty low, and we were supposed to get some snow. Of course we wouldn't be so lucky to have some snow. Luckily my parents left early Sunday morning because they shut down I-70 soon after they made it through. There was a snowstorm and that is why I-70 was shut down.
Last night my friend and I decided to watched the National Lampoons Christmas. I think this movie is so funny. I don't think I will ever be sick of it.

Dog sitting

I am watching 2 dogs over the holiday. The dogs came over tonight. It has been quite an adventure. My dog, Dexter, has been very vocal and protective of everything. One of the dogs is a mastiff and weighs 168 pounds. Although he is huge, he has been whimpering at the door as soon as his owner left him. I have a feeling that it will be a long night. I have to work tomorrow and I hope they don't tear anything up while they are by themselves.
My parents will be joining me tomorrow evening and staying with me through the weekend as well as my brother. My place will be a full house. I hope we all won't kill each other.
I will be taking my parents up to the canyon on Saturday. We will be hiking, fly fishing, and playing with the dogs. I have a friend that lives up there and I think he may join us on Saturday. His backyard leads out to some trails that we might go on. This weekend should be a lot of fun.

Change of plans

Today I was supposed to go a concert tonight with friends. Well that did not happened at all. I ended up having to take Dexter to the vet and well that cost me a lot of money. I couldn't spare more money to go to the concert. I am sure that they are all having fun right now. I decided that I will stay home with Dexter and watch movies. Tonight has been a lot of fun. I am about to watch my second movie, Sin City, but I have a feeling that I might fall asleep during it. Tomorrow I will be going bowling with some people. I love to bowl. I just wish that I was good at it.

My first week at work was great. I have met so many people and everyone is so nice. Last night I played poker. The first game I came in second and the last game I won. I shouldn't have won the last game but I guess I had the cards. I thought I should have been third, but for some reason I came back from nothing. I guess anything goes. I won money, but I didn't have pay to play. I don't have any cash so Anthony and Caleb bought me in. I paid them back. I am looking forward to Saturday. I hope that the concert will be fun. I think I am going out for some sushi tonight with a friend and then to the movies. I can't wait.

I got a job

It has been a long time since I have posted anything. Things have been going really well here. I start my new job tomorrow. I can't wait and I hope that I will like it. Right now it is only Part time, but hopefully it will become Full time. I will only be working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. These days are great and my dog will have time to get used to it. My work is about 5 minutes away from my place which is also nice.

I will be going to the movies on Friday with a friend. I think we are going to watch Harry Potter or Walk the Line. Both movies look really good.
On Saturday I will be going to a show in Boulder with some friends. There is a big group of us going and it should be a blast. We will be going to Boulder early and hanging out with some people. We may even stay the night there if the show runs really late.

Halloween Parties

On Friday I went to a Halloween party at a friend's house. They had a haunted maze house or shall I say barn. I of course did not go because I didn't want to get scared. Everyone dressed up great. I was Little Red Riding Hood. I had a black and red dress on, a homemade red cape, and a basket full of homemade brownies. Everyone really liked my costume, and the brownies were a big hit. At the party they had a keg, bobbing for apples with shooters tied to the apples, an ice block that had a path carved out of it for cold shots, and of course great music with a place to dance. I had a lot of fun.
The next day was awful. I did not feel so well. I thought I was going to stay home on Saturday night, but I went to Denver instead. I met up with some friends and we went out to some bars. Amy Beth and I sang some songs. It was a blast.
Today I caught up on some sleep and watched a movie. I will be going to the movies tonight with some friends. I feel so much better today.
Tomorrow I will be going to Boulder to watch a great band that is from my hometown. The band is My Morning Jacket and it will be nice to see some familiar faces. I am going with a friend and I hope that he will like the band as much as I do.

My first ever comedy show

Tonight I will be attending my first comedy show. A friend had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to go. I am pretty excited. I am not sure who is the comedian is tonight, but I hope I will get a good laugh. I still have not found a job. This week I kind of slacked. I hope to find one soon.

I will not be coming home for thanksgiving, but one of my best friends will be coming to visit during the holiday. She will be looking for a cheap flight out of Florida. She is having some trouble at home and she really wants to hang out with me and take a break. I hope that she will be able to find a cheap ticket!! I would love to see her.

Football and Ice Hockey

On Saturday, I will be watching the Cardinals kick some ass in some football. I will be going to a sports bar with some friends. After all the football I can take I will be going to my first ever ice hockey game. Dave, one of the guys I met, gets free ice hockey game tickets. We are going with some people, and I am really excited about the game. I hope the CARDS will win as well as the ice hockey team I will be watching.
Monday will be another day for job hunting. I need a job soon or I might be going home. Wish me luck!

Still Hoping to Find a Job

Last night I went out for a couple of drinks. I heard some bluegrass music that night. I had a lot of fun, but the bluegrass isn't the same as it is in KY. On my way home I stopped by my favorite bar to see what is happening. I ran into some people I knew, and I chilled out there for a while.
I had an interview the other day for a serving job. The manager will be getting back to me by the end of this week. At the Vault, which is one of my favorite bars, I talked to the bartender and his brother just opened up a bar that will need some servers. I hope to talk to his brother soon. I guess the job hunt is still going on. I hope to have a job by next week. I can't live off of my savings. I need a job soon or I may end my Colorado adventure short.

No Luck

I still do not have a job. I did however filled out 2 applications, but I don't think they were hiring. I will be searching again today. First I will be taking Dexter to dog park. I hate to leave him alone when he has a lot of energy. After searching today I am taking Dexter on a small hike to explore a little. Tomorrow I will be meeting up with a friend and we will be walking our dogs for several miles! I can't wait.

Wednesday: Job Searching

I have been searching for some jobs, but I think my best bet is to serve again. I have had a lot of experience and I know that can be great money. Today I will stop by some places to see if they are hiring.

The weather here is really nice. It stormed a little yesterday, but by night time fell it was so clear that you can see every star. I am doing great and my place is almost in order. I miss everyone!

The first day

Eric and I left Louisville at 10:45. We hit some rain as we were leaving, but about a couple hours on the hwy we ran into some nasty rain. We stopped at a rest area to take my dog out and also to use the facilities. All three of us were drenched when we all got back into the car. About half way through Missouri the weather was perfect. We stopped at another rest area and walked my dog. This is where I started to drive so Eric could get some sleep. I drove all the way to Kansas City and we decided to stop and stay. We arrived around 6:30 and now we are watching some NFL. We will not be staying up too late in hoping to have an early start!
